National Grid are the latest company to join the list of shame of those offshoring or intending to offshore our  jobs overseas. 181 jobs may be lost at the energy firm's site in Newcastle upon Tyne. National Grid plans to sack the workers  and offshore their jobs to India. National Grid or ('National Greed' as the workers have dubbed them) make huge profits.

Solidarity President, Adam Walker, said:-

"This is more bad news for the North East - an area devastated by offshoring. More and more jobs are being shipped overseas. If we don't start effective resistance there will be few opportunities in our region."
